Melanie Jacobs
Melanie is the Artist In Residence and owner of Arthouse Gallery and is also a professional artist.
Born in London and still lives and works in London, with her husband, dog, cat and peacock.. Yes, you read it correctly A Peacock Melanie initially studied Display and Design at the College for Distributive Trades in the 1970s. She subsequently worked exclusively in this field for over ten years, specializing in interior design, working alongside the design guru Sir Terence Conran.
After children and much chaos... Melanie then decided that her very first love... ART was to be her life... Melanie paints every day so there is always something new to look forward to and always some humour and love to make you smile. All of Melanie's art is original one-off pieces and she only paints what she loves or reminds her of memories gone by or just love of colour and design..
