Campbell La Pun

Campbell La Pun's new limited editions explore the iconography and advertising images of the global marketplace through the lens of urban pop art, referencing the most familiar global brands and paying homage to his predecessor Andy Warhol. Born in New Zealand, La Pun now lives in Tokyo which is often described as ‘the original megacity’, where the dense population, cutting-edge economy and eastern and western cultural influences intersect with an exhilarating sense of energy. He draws inspiration from this vibrant world and channels it into his work, which is gaining increasing recognition worldwide. After graduating with a BA in Media Arts from RMIT University Melbourne, The originality of his ideas and his distinctive style struck a chord almost immediately and he has since exhibited and sold his work on four continents.
